021 MPSOS – Real Life Case Study with Kelly Brantley

Listen to the Episode Below

Kelly Brantley from Financial Freedom Counseling Service

Our guest coach in this Real Life Case Study is a Dave Ramsey Certified Counselor (that guy in the picture with her) who has been helping individuals, couples, churches, and businesses with their personal finance challenges for over 3 years. You can find more about her at www.DebtFreeWithKelly.com

Today we talk about a couple who have $57,000 in credit card debt and $23,000 in student loan debt. They bring home $4,500 a month but are behind with 8 of the 13 cards and are beginning to worry about being sued. They are now working a MoneyPlan but they keep getting calls from creditors and knocked off-balance by letters in the mail threatening to “take legal action”.

  1. I’m commenting as I listen.

I’m excited for the increased activity! It’ll be cool to see more blog posts, video casts, and a continued weekly podcast in July. More MoneyPlan! lol.

Wow, this couple seems like they’re going through some tough times. It’s good to hear you are helping them. There is a lot to do and it’s going to take awhile, but it sounds like they are going to make it out of this alive!

I still struggle with life insurance and a will. I need to just Do it! They are both so cheap and now that I’m married it’s a responsibility issue.
